"Greetings Mark,

My Aunt cannot take her eyes off of the painting. She was overwhelmed! I drove to Charlottesville a couple of weeks ago with the painting onboard and after a nice chatty dinner I went out to the car to bring in the painting. I unwrapped it and she was just amazed. While looking it over, my Aunt just could not believe it- she keep staring at it and was so impressed with the recovery of her Mother's art that she actually ran her hands over the painting and just stared and stared. I was so happy to share in the moment with her.

She told me to please tell you how appreciative she is and what a remarkable job you did restoring her Mother's art. It was so funny, when my Aunt first gave me Grandmother's painting last summer- she asked if I could possibly find someone who could repair the damage in some manner as she wished to give the painting to her daughter in Florida at some point in the future. Well, after she studied the beauty of the painting, all thoughts of sending it to her daughter anytime soon quickly vanished. It will be on the wall replacing the two paintings of her grandparents.

My Aunt could not believe how you brought the colors back to the painting in such beautiful fashion. She has been bringing many people into her home to see her Mother's art. As a matter of fact, when we were going out to breakfast on Monday morning, she spotted one of her neighbors and immediately asked her to come in and see her Mother's Painting.

My Aunt's brother lives here in McLean and she cannot wait to have him come to Charlottesville to see the Painting. She speaks of it all the time. I told her that before you could do the repair that you cleaned the painting and that brought back all the vibrancy of the colors- the lovely blue sky, those haunting eyes. She is so funny, she told me that it is so good, she feels like the painting is watching her. The painting has been declared her favorite of her Mother's work. So I thank you again so very, very much- you certainly made a 90 year old woman and her niece incredibly happy and brought a lot of pleasure in the family. Hope you are enjoying the Autumn, and although it is predicted, we don't have too cold a winter this year.

Yours with much gratitude"
